Trauma & Healing
Trauma isn't defined only by what happened to you—it's also shaped by what you had to carry, often without the support, safety, or care you needed.
Whether your experiences involved abuse, neglect, loss, betrayal, chronic stress, spiritual hurt, or painful relationships, trauma can leave lasting effects. You may struggle with anxiety, shame, emotional numbness, people-pleasing, perfectionism, difficulty trusting others, or feeling disconnected from yourself and those you love. You may find yourself reacting in ways you don't fully understand or repeating patterns you wish you could change.
These responses are not signs that something is wrong with you. They are often the ways your mind and body learned to survive.
Healing begins when your story can be explored with compassion rather than judgment.
In therapy, we'll work together to understand how your past continues to shape your present, gently process painful experiences, and strengthen your ability to experience safety, connection, and hope. My approach is grounded in the belief that healing happens within safe relationships. Together, we'll work to heal old wounds, build emotional resilience, and create new patterns that allow you to move forward with greater freedom and confidence.
While we can't change what has happened, healing can change how your past influences your present. Your story doesn't end with what wounded you. With time, support, and intentional care, it can become a story of resilience, growth, and restored connection.
